★ベビー絵本の選び方のコツ（解説書）
ベビー絵本（～2歳）は、パパやママが言葉のうまく通じない赤ちゃんに向かって話しかけるための道具だと思って選ぶことがポイントです。発達心理学や認知心理学などの研究結果を踏まえて、赤ちゃんがパッと反応することができるようにデザインされた英語絵本がたくさんあります。赤ちゃんが理解するかしないかはあまり気にせずに、絵本に出てくる物の名前や色、形、数などをゆっくり優しい声で繰り返しながら話しかけましょう。絵本を見せて、赤ちゃんがじっと見て興味を示したら、もう十分です・・（解説書より一部抜粋。続きはBook Club で！）

★How to Choose Picture Books for Babies
The main thing to keep in mind when choosing a book for your baby (age 0~2) is to remember that this is a tool to communicate words to a child that doesn’t understand words yet. There are many English picture books based on developmental and cognitive psychology studies that are designed to catch a baby’s attention. Do not worry about whether the baby understands the words. Repeatedly reading the name, color, shape and number of items in the picture book in a slow and calm voice is all that is necessary.
